About VectorLab
VectorLab is a free, browser-based tool for learning linear algebra and polynomial algebra. It shows the working, not just the answer: every row operation in a reduction, every pivot in an elimination, every line of a long division.
It is aimed at students in a first course in linear algebra or college algebra, and at anyone who wants to see the geometry behind the formulas: how a matrix transforms the plane, what a span looks like, and what a null space is in three dimensions.
What is on the site
- Interactive tools for matrix rank, vectors and span, row reduction, 3D and null space, and Gaussian elimination.
- Step-by-step solvers for polynomial long division, synthetic division and partial fractions.
- Written guides that explain each method with worked examples.
